Popular Japanese fusion concept expands to Pearl
SAN ANTONIO (August 13, 2026) — Dallas-based Nori Handroll Bar will make its San Antonio debut at Pearl next spring, bringing a blend of traditional and modern Japanese dining to Pearl’s west side of the San Antonio River Walk. Known for bringing thoughtful food, design, and hospitality in a setting that feels effortlessly modern and distinctly local, Nori Handroll Bar will be located at Coopers Row and across the river from Pullman Market.
Chef and Owner Deukbok Cha fuses Japanese tradition and modernity in his restaurant, known for its high standards of culinary craftsmanship, while using only the freshest and finest ingredients. Cha also layers in Korean-inspired menu items as an homage to his heritage. The menu format features a Temaki Set Menu of handrolls, à la carte options, Omakase, and traditional Izakaya dishes. Fish selections are flown in globally from Japan and Europe.

We’re excited to become part of the neighborhood and share with San Antonio what we do.”
Nori Handroll Bar is joining a vibrant mix of new spaces on the west bank of the San Antonio River Walk, including Coopers Row North residences, Otto’s Ice House, and Perlen House, a high-design boutique hotel currently under construction.
