Stable Hall, the new performance venue at Pearl, was designed to give 21st-century audiences a good experience while also honoring the history of the space. “We’re humble stewards of this room,” said W. Brandt Wood, whose Dallas-based company WoodHouse is the concept developer, operator and partner behind the space’s transformation.

The 14th annual report by US News analyzes more than 37,000 properties across the United States, Europe, Bermuda, Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean. Hotels are ranked based on industry awards, star ratings, and Tripadvisor customer ratings.

When the owners of the Pearl Brewery commissioned a grand San Antonio stable in 1894, they likely had only one function in mind: a place to house sixty horses and the keg carts used to deliver their beer around town. But as it turns out, the now 130-year-old, oval-shaped building—with its open floor plan, tall ceilings, and multiple entrances—also makes for a great music venue.

“Pullman Market is a wonderful complement to the vibrant culinary, retail, and cultural landscape that defines Pearl today,” said Mesha Millsap, Pearl CEO, in a recent news release. The official address for Pullman Market is 221 Newell Ave., San Antonio, TX 78215, which places the culinary market toward the southernmost side of the Pearl, near residential apartment buildings.
