HISTORIC PEARL WELCOMES GLOBAL IPW ATTENDEES TO SAN ANTONIO

Pearl to host open night on Tues. 5/23 to welcome global travel convention IPW

SAN ANTONIO – (May 15, 2023) San Antonio’s Historic Pearl joins Visit San Antonio and its partners to welcome global visitors and attendees of the U.S. Travel Association’s 2023 IPW conference coming to San Antonio’s Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center from May 20 – May 23, 2023. The global trade show will serve as a national showcase of America, where U.S. travel exhibitors connect with travel buyers and media from more than 70 countries to promote their destinations, negotiate future business and build relationships.

In addition to hosting and meeting with members of the media from across the world, Pearl will have a significant presence at IPW. On Tuesday, May 23, Pearl will light up its larger footprint, offering an evening of live music outdoors, shopping and dining, with businesses extending hours to 9 p.m., featuring a special Spring Night Market.

“Alongside other premiere destinations across Texas, Pearl is looking forward to showcasing the best of what San Antonio has to offer as a top-tier destination in North America,” says Pearl CEO Mesha Millsap. “We invite the local San Antonio community and our visitors to come spend Tuesday, May 23, at Pearl for an evening of live music, dining and shopping.”

Pearl is a dynamic neighborhood built around the historic Pearl Brewery, located just north of downtown San Antonio on the banks of the San Antonio River. Pearl is a gathering place for residents of San Antonio centered around food and learning. Pearl’s 22 acre footprint was inspired by the amazing plazas in Latin America and Europe, where big open spaces are surrounded by restaurants and cafes and shops, where there is always something happening.

“We invite our guests and our community out to Pearl to enjoy a beautiful evening that celebrates the people and businesses that contribute so much to San Antonio’s hospitality and tourism sector,” says Millsap.
